This free cross-platform diagramming tool is incredibly similar to older (pre-ribbon) versions of Visio. Whilst the look and feel of the program is a little dated, it gets the job done. Coming with a plethora of sheets \& objects (like stencils in Visio) right out of the box means you can start creating straight off the bat. Almost anyone can produce professional looking diagrams with this tool by simply dragging the stencil shapes onto the canvas and linking them together from simple flowcharts to complex Entity Relationship Diagrams.
