For basically one billable hour per month per user I simply cannot afford NOT to have LEAP. It is such a phenomenally good Practice Management Software that makes my professional life so much easier and enjoyable\! And it continues to get better - with the advent of AI and LEAP's addition of "LawY" I have access to additional very powerful AI tools giving me very impressive AI drafting and legal research without any increase in the monthly subscription\! It even includes the option to have LawY's AI generated legal research verified by an actual lawyer - even that is included in the standard LEAP per user fee\! LEAP is very well supported in so many ways including product managers, free webinars, online training etc. > > **Puntos en contra**: No product is perfect, so there are always things that could be better. Including sometimes LEAP changing things that users do not necessarily want changed. One other minor thing is that there is one add on that costs extra - the ByLawyers Guide (currently $69 AUD per user per month extra). Since many firms now use Outlook on the web, this creates extra manual work to save important emails into matters. Because of this limitation, our team sometimes has to manually copy or upload emails, which slows down workflow and adds unnecessary steps. Improved integration with the new Outlook web version would make the system much more efficient and better suited to modern, cloud-based practice. > > We have been using LEAP Legal Software since 2017 and currently hold more than 30 licenses across our firm. Overall, our experience has been positive, particularly in terms of matter management, document automation, billing, and trust accounting all being integrated into one system. There are a lot of really helpful features, particularly the ability to design and personalize templates that function a lot like mail merge in office. I also really enjoy the divorcemate cloud integration. > > **Puntos en contra**: When we started with LEAP, it often felt like we were beta testing software that was already supposed to be finished. The software is really buggy. It doesn't integrate well with Microsoft Office and the integrations often cause random errors or crashing with microsoft word. I've had to completely uninstall and reinstall the app several times when it seems to get 'stuck' or won't update properly for random reasons - for example, new matters won't show up when I login and only appear when searching archived matters as well. I don't like that I can't open multiple windows in the matter; it makes it cumbersome to move documents between various folders. It also struggles if you have a weaker internet connection. I don't find the software particularly intuitive - many of the tools are not where you would expect them to be. > > Overall, I miss the old divorcemate compared to LEAP.
