Puntos a favor:

Es un producto que inmediatamente te permite ver los resultados de lo que estás aprendiendo. Intuitivo en las construcción y personalización de los gráficos y filtros. Son muchas las tipologías de fuentes de datos que pueden alimentar tus gráficos. Es una herramienta que empodera.

Contras:

Objetivamente no he detectado ningún punto negativo. Si tengo que evidenciar un deseo, me gustaría tener un más amplio catalogo de gráficos.

DASCHBOARD como herramienta de monitorio a través de LOOKER

Comentarios: Se han diseñado diferentes tableros a manera de DASHBOARD con distintas áreas de la empresa, en donde es más fácil compartir la información en tiempo real, sin la necesidad de triangular los datos y mejorando el flujo activo de los datos para la correcta toma de decisiones.

Puntos a favor:

Es fácil de usar y la interacción con el usuario permite el diseño de elementos visuales que son atractivos y fáciles de leer e interpretar, de forma clara y oportuna

Contras:

En un inicio la comprensión para el desarrollo de los elementos que han de mostrarse en los tableros resulta un poco revoltoso, por lo que debes tener preferentemente un mapeo previo para ubicar las variables que se requieren utilizar y las fuentes de donde se obtendrá la información

Reportes Mensuales

Puntos a favor:

Es una de las mejores herramientas para obtener informes con múltiples datos. Ofrece reportes de todo tipo y es completa.

Contras:

Cuando haces combinaciones entre fuentes (como por ejemplo google ads - analytics) a veces se bloquea un poco.

Facilita mucho la lectura de datos debido a su organizacion logica

Comentarios: Satisfactoria, ver como organiza datos estructurados y complejos por semántica me impresionó bastante

Es muy fácil de usar y su organización por semántica resulta muy útil para leer datos complejos, sobre todo a la hora de trabajar en desarrollo web o de apps

Contras:

Requiere cierto conocimientos de TI para su uso

Comentarios: Looker has been my go to tool for analytics, reporting and dashboarding. It is very easy to learn for an individual. It is user friendly as well. Overall good experience from the tool. It is way better than Tableau and Qlik.

Puntos a favor:

First and foremost, the most important feature of Looker is, it is cloud based BI tool which can be accessed remotely and easy to work unless like other tools where it requires to be installed in the PC.It has clean and simple UI which is very to build dashboards and reports.Lookml option provides benefit of flexibility in code which in turn help to create own metrics and create calculations. This helps for the marketer or developer to have the control of the metrics Data modelling is very easy to create and Looker has the capacity to sync with various connectors to access the data from other sources, which solves the use case of having 3rd party connectors.

Contras:

The new interface of swapping between read-only and developer is not that great. The older version was better as compared to the new one. Customer support is gone from good to bad. When I had queries , customer support team could not help as they themselves were not aware of the tool and also they share articles which are available with google search to diagnose.The codes should have an option to export to PDF.

Puntos a favor:

Easy to create dashboards without engineers needing to write code.

Contras:

Still not very good yet for a multi-tenant embedded environment. Needs a lot of work to set up and the API is slow.

Controlled Analytics Exploration

Comentarios: Like I said, it's a great tool for analysts that don't need a lot of flexibility or maybe just aren't used to working with a lot of data. To get the full value out of this software, you'll need a core group of experienced Data Analysts that can learn fast (to learn Lookers Table Calculation code which is similar to SQL) who can build a bunch of dashboards and views. You really don't want people who aren't savvy with data doing a lot of the creating because measures are always aggregated based on the dimensions you pull into each table...if a user forgets to add a specific dimension then measures could show the wrong value. This could be offset by having really good developers who architect the data in a way that doesn't allow this to happen.

Puntos a favor:

It's a great data exploration tool for users who normally would get anxious when given a large dataset in something like Excel. It's generally simple to use and there can be unlimited Viewers (users at the lowest permissions level) through the enterprise product. Data Visualization is essentially done for you and Exploers (users at the second level of permissions) can build new visualizations & turn them into interactive dashboards. On the Looker platform, Explorers can locate a view (called an Explore) and then are given a list of dimensions and measures they can pull into a table. Users can create new dimensions using calculated fields and then save their views so any users with Viewer permissions (and up) can see what was put together.

Contras:

With simplicity comes lack of flexibility. More skilled data analysts will want more flexibility than Looker can provide but at the same time you need to have highly skilled Data Analysts to be the Developers (high level of permissions) to set up the data so that less skilled analysts (the users who benefit from Looker most) who are Explorers don't build views that grossly misrepresent the data. My biggest pet peeve with this software as an Explorer is that you cannot make calculations on the base data...only the data that you pull into your table (called table calculations). That is a major feature that Tableau has that Looker does not have at the Explorer permission level. Of course developers can use LookML (Lookers data language) to create a new column...but a Developer license is more expensive and creating the fields take time and it's something you constantly will need.

Looker - another type of reporting

Comentarios: Looker (and data) is all you need for a good business analysis. It has exactly what you need for data visualization, analytics and predictions.

Puntos a favor:

The most I like that you can import data from different sources. Making charts and graphs from all data you have allows you to do very accurate prediction on the business. Sharing the reports with different colleagues from other departments is easy and important.

Contras:

Is a little complicated until you come to the final dashboard design, too many options (might be only me).

Best option for first/time dashboard building

It’s super easy to maintain and update reports - particularly if using some of the direct integrations for Google products (eg Google ads). Also great to be able to pull in data from attribution tools like Ruler Analytics too.

Contras:

Not necessarily a ‘con’ as such, but your dashboards look as good as you are a designer; I’ve seen some incredible dashboards built by colleagues and peers and also seen some truly terrible ones; the flexibility of the tool means you do need to have a basic grasp of data analysis and visualisation.

Best data vizualization dashboard

Comentarios: I open Looker every week and analyze the growth or loos in the company. I can make an overwall picture over the business activity.

The most important feature for me is that you can import all sort of data into looker. After importing creating a dashboard with information you need, charts and graphs is a easy thing. When needed I share my dashboard with colleague and partners, is easy to share any report or export in a PDF and sent it.

Contras:

There are no cons for Looker, everything is works good and ... free.

Looker - better data visualization

Comentarios: Overwall Looker is a great tool for reporting and data analysys. The reports are always up to date and this is very important because I can track whats is happening in real time.

Puntos a favor:

Connecting different sources or importing data is very easy and you are sure that data is always up to date. Another important feature for me is that you can share these reports with other or you can export them.

Contras:

Creating a dashboard with all you need can be a little complicated for the first time.

Another type of reporting

Comentarios: Looker is the perfect tool for data analysis and report creation. I usually share the reports with the live link so users can get live updates every day but sometimes i download a PDF with the report for certain people. Data import is easy and can be done manually or automatically.

Puntos a favor:

When it comes to make reports I use only Looker. The option to automatically import data from different sources makes my reports always updated. I usually make graphs and charts with all the data I need and share the reports with my superiors and colleagues who needs these information.

Contras:

You needs special API access from different vendors to import data, some of these are quite pricey.

Best Dashboard tool for SEO and Marketing

Comentarios: Being using Looker (previously datastudio) for years and they continue to improve the tool.

You can create really powerful and complete dashboards totally for free. They're updated in real time and you can easily share them with coworkers or clients.

Contras:

Sometimes the interface is really clumsy and is hard to update data.

Comentarios: Since the beginning of my career, I've been using Looker for the past four years, and I can say with certainty that it's a must-have and worthwhile program for any company or individual working with large amounts of data. Looker made it easy for me to explain complex data visualizations to my clients, a task that would otherwise be difficult. Looker has been an important tool in helping me reach my organization's goals. I have a lot of likes for this product and would suggest it to everyone who works in R&D or analysis.

Puntos a favor:

1. Spectator ease of use is its greatest distinguishing feature. with . 2. Looker allows the user to learn more about the data (by creating insights and visualization). In other words, it shifts the workload from the analysts to a platform that can do the analysis independently. This helps with sizing. 3. Since Looker is a browser-based platform, it can be installed on any public cloud service and has flexible cloud database migration options.

Contras:

I've noticed that dashboards take a long time to load when there is a lot of traffic. This is annoying, especially when we have a deadline to meet. 2. With scenes, the expense factor is much greater. It's the perfect answer for large organizations, but it can be very expensive for small teams and independent contractors.

Modeling platform which allows the me to codify data visualization using a proprietary modeling language. The self-service visualization tools that allows end users to access the benefits of data analysis. Looker has one of the best user interface on market very easy to use and in my organisation it very useful because it saves time and costs of training.

Contras:

Integration with my business has not been difficult at all but the difficulty came from the product's need for a lot of processing power and its use of a lot of RAM.

Comentarios: The most cutting-edge method for creating data experiences and products is called Looker. From a user perspective, Looker is incredibly simple to use. Clear filters let you access data that I need to execute my job on a daily basis, especially when I'm retrieving client health scores.

Puntos a favor:

It is a great delight to strengthen my data analysis system. Scheduling reports is another great way to avoid acting as a middleman between various clients in my opinion. Flexibility, durability, the LookML Semantic layer, dependability, scalability, and the set of tools for modifying data experiences. Very versatile when it comes to writing code and showing tiles; the greatest aspect is the dynamic nature of the results presentation, which makes it easier to examine results while on the go.

Contras:

There are fewer things that can be done at the tile level, which limits functionality. Such dynamicness is required for a more thorough dashboarding experience. Less restrictions on things, in my opinion, would allow me to dream a little greater. Additionally, the forecasting function may be improved. Just a bit more conviction in this amazing product would do.

Contras:

Google Looker is complex and hard to learn especially when you are trying to make complex data collection or reports.

Comentarios: This software has truly put our leadership team above the benchmark with data efficiencies and making informed data driven decisions.

Looker is incredibly easy to use, and it easily scales with your technical abilities. As an Analyst, I can create very easy to use self serve reports for stakeholders. This saves time and effort for both parties. Looker also has a very intuitive way of organizing data and letting you quickly visualize data in your warehouse. It is reliable and the data visualization options are abundant. Our leadership team is miles ahead of others I've seen because of how quickly they were able to learn how to use Looker.

Contras:

I don't necessarily see this as a con, however I think there is a big opportunity to help guide some new users through some of the more technical setup of Looker. I relied on a mentor to help take me through LookML and Models/Explores, but I would have loved to have some in product help with this.

I like that it can deal with many data types and can be integrated with many types of servers and systems.

Google Looker is one of the best tools I have ever used and there is nothing to dislike about it.

Flexible and detailed

Comentarios: Overall pretty satisfied with looker, I use it everyday to find some patterns, problems and solutions to the problems as well, it has been a huge part of my work for a while and it does what I need pretty well!

Customization is one of the best parts of looker. Having the ability to fit the data to the required details through filters is handy. You can add/remove or filter data as you wish. The platform also has multiple types of visualizing and also the option to downloading the data in various forms.

Contras:

The platform is great, but in sometimes, during high traffic, the process is prolonged. It takes forever to load a look or dashboard. Also, the learning curve is a bit tough at the start but gets better once you get the grip.

Comentarios: Looker has helped us provide higher quality information to our users in a more attractive and efficient manner. Our users are able to customize and share content in ways they couldn't before. Looker has eliminated manual report runs in many cases and definitely has created efficiencies that save time and money.

Looker allows you to work with virtually any data warehouse, and setup is not difficult. LookML is easy to work with, and allows non-developers to create content for their teams. Embedding Looker in our web app was relatively painless, and is a big improvement over our prior reporting system. Sharing content is super easy with scheduled reporting, and the variety of formats gives us solutions for different types of users.

Contras:

I would like to see more visualization options, and enhanced capabilities with scheduling.

Comentarios: I am able to access monthly and daily reports via Looker dashboards, which are linked directly to our backend database. This allows me to monitor our team's performance in real-time and share valuable insights with my colleagues whenever necessary.

Looker is extremely intuitive and accessible for end users. This has made training and driving adoption across the company a breeze. It has really opened up our data to a huge number of non-technical users. Their customer support is also excellent.

Contras:

As part of our evaluation we trialed several other providers that I think would have provided about 80% of the value at a dramatically lower cost. For our organization it made sense to go with the best in class, but for a more cost-constrained organization there might be better options out there.
