Comentarios: Es una herramienta que recomiendo. Tiene un plan gratuito que te permite probarla antes de comprar la suscripción.

Una herramienta brutal para ver por donde navegan en tu web

Puntos a favor:

Llevamos mucho tiempo utilizandola en las webs del grupo, es una herramienta perfecta para poder analizar como navegan los usuarios por tu web, poder comprobar donde se pierden o si hay algun problema en tu web que impide que generen conversiones. Si tienes un e-commerce es perfecta ¡ La recomiendo!

Funciona perfectamente, no hay nada reseñable que no me guste de hotjar

Comentarios: Nuestra experiencia en general ha sido muy positiva y el programa lo utilizamos con asiduidad en cada una de nuestras campañas.

Puntos a favor:

Utilizamos mucho Hotjar para analizar el resultado de nuestras campañas. Uno de los puntos más fuertes son los mapas de calor que podemos crear para analizar el comportamiento del usuario en una landing Page o en el sitio web. Otro punto que nos encanta es que permite grabar al usuario, sin recopilar sus datos, es una función muy interesante para ver qué acciones realizan los usuarios en nuestra web.

Contras:

En lo referente a analizar en detalle el comportamiento de un usuario una vez que ingresa a nuestra web es un programa excelente y no tenemos puntos negativos para mencionar. Quizás como punto en contra podríamos decir que le faltan más funciones para ser un programa más completo, ya que esta únicamente limitado al análisis del comportamiento del usuario.

Comentarios: Es una herramienta que siempre voy a usar. Te ayuda a detectar oportunidades de mejora muy fácilmente y en tiempo real. El análisis es muy fácil de seguir y objetivo para entender qué hay que priorizar.

Puntos a favor:

Presentan el desglose de usuarios que interactúan a lo largo de tu plataforma de manera muy definida. La herramienta para hacer encuestas y obtener feedback es una joya porque es corta y le llama la atención al usuario.

Contras:

Creo que hacen falta más features que puedan ayudar a elevar más la detección de oportunidades.

Comentarios: Pricing. The Free option is very little, and pricing for more then 100 recordes session per day is crazy

There are a lot of great features on Hotjar, but for me it's recordings.With this recordings feature we found out that one of our clients has bug on website, that was cleaning busket after 5 products were added to basket. So I strongly recommend, to make some records and check them, even with HotJar trial.

Contras:

Pricing. It's not expensive tool, but we are usually using it from time to time. Not every day.

Amazing User Experience With Hotjar

Hotjar is an incredibly intuitive and user-friendly tool that makes it easy to gain insight into user behavior and preferences. It makes the process of creating surveys, heatmaps and recordings very straightforward and the results are presented in an easy to understand format.

Contras:

While the reporting capabilities are quite comprehensive, the data can be difficult to interpret unless you have some degree of experience in analytics. Additionally, the pricing structure can be quite expensive for smaller businesses.

Great little tool for starting your UX research

Comentarios: I would be surprised if there was a CRO or UX team that hasn't heard of Hotjar. It's a great little tool, especially given the price, but it doesn't allow enough flexibility to be your main on-site research tool. It's really good for starting out and doing some basic research. Sweet and simple! I guess marketers could benefit the most from this!

Price. Simplicity of implementation. Good customer service. The scrollmaps and polls are my favourite, and only features I use.

Contras:

Potentially slows down the site. Loads the entire js even when only running a poll, so puts unnecessary load on the page speed. Forms have nearly never worked on any of the websites I have used it on. Funnel I don't really use - I don't see the point really. Free GA will still be far better and more useful at that. Polls have very simplistic targeting methods. Adding one or two new targeting triggers would be awesome...but they haven't released any new features in ages. Heatmaps are still very simple with no ability of segmenting the data. I can't complain for the really accessible prices they have been able to maintain though!

Comentarios: As a data analyst, HotJar enables me to build, personalize, and deliver surveys and polls to our customers so they can respond and let us know what they like and dislike about our business. The data is promptly updated to our HotJar account as clients submit their answers, allowing me to analyze it right away.

The most crucial component of our platform—and the one that has gained it the most popularity among our research teams—are the heatmaps. Heatmaps are used to show users where they can scroll and click on our website after they arrive.Contrary to popular belief, knowledge is not only useful but may really be quite helpful to marketing teams. There are two possible explanations for why someone would scroll down our page: either they don't like what they are reading or they want to read more of it.I can only benefit from this feature if our website has a sign-up form or requests that visitors fill out forms. Form Analysis, as the name implies, informs me of how users interact with and utilize our forms. Utilizing such data will help me lower the amount of unsuccessful attempts to complete our form.

Contras:

Some features should be improved compared to other platform. Price should be customized. Heatmaps feature may be upgraded more.

Contras:

There no intrinsic con to the platform but time itself. Time to analyze all the data and insights that you could extract. Usually we over estimate the time dedicated and the efforts that we will put in tools like this one. So, usually they went under-used.

Comentarios: Analysis tools include Heatmaps, Visitor Recording, Form Analytics, and Conversion Funnels, which let you watch and measure how our users act.

Puntos a favor:

Seeing how our site's visitors use it helps me figure out how to improve the user experience. The recording features let me see what people actually see on my site, which helps me find any problems. Heat maps will show us what our site visitors do and what they are interested in. I can also improve our conversion funnels and forms by finding out what needs to be fixed or improved. I also noticed that I don't have to worry about paying for a plan that works for everyone but doesn't fit my needs. Instead, it has different plans for people, businesses, and government agencies. This makes sure that I only pay for the features I want. Personal users with low traffic can even get a free plan that lets them add as many users as they want forever. Meanwhile, businesses will pay based on how many times their pages are looked at every day. The agency plans, on the other hand, give you a single account that can be used for multiple client sites.

Contras:

Prices could be better for new companies. Some things need to be worked on more. There should be ways to record multiple sessions at once in different parts of the site.

Revenue First not Customer First Driven Company

The support team and user interface of Hotjar are first in class. Over the last 5 years I have seen the product grow to become an industry leader. It is easy to implement and execute on the insights gained with Hotjar. I used full hearty recommended this product to everyone I have met.

Contras:

On November 25th, their pricing policy update also impacted us legacy account holders. It used to be that you paid per Organization. Ie if your Organization had 4 sites you would be pay for 1 account. Also if you were a old customer you maintained your original terms. However with the move to Billing v2, it is now changed to per site and new terms. What does this mean, a minimum price increase of 400%. Example old rate of 9 EUR for Plus was applicable to all sites within that organization, if that organization only had 1 site then 9 EUR, now it is 39 EUR. Obviously the more sites / higher the tier upgrade you have the higher price increase. Unfortunately this is not a pricing policy I can endorse and hence want to make it very clear that I no longer support Hotjar. It is an abusive pricing policy change. While the pricing is a matter of perspective, I do believe Hotjar still provides great value, it unfortunately shows a change in attitude towards their customer based who have helped develop all their years. Today it might just be pricing, but what is next? No more customer support similarly to how Facebook does it.

Awesome for user recordings and heat-maps

The insights we got from Hotjar were instantly used by our team. We understood our user's journey and pain points better after reviewing the heatmaps and screen recordings.

Contras:

It's fairly expensive. We operate 16 different websites and we only have Hotjar setup on one of the brands because of the cost.

Comentarios: It is an amazing thing to watch the recordings of the user's that Hotjar captures and consolidates.

Puntos a favor:

- Can actually record user's sessions and accurately identify the same user who is using the site/app after a certain duration - The dashboard is seamless. - Allows categorization based on events and tags.

Contras:

- Sometimes, when trying to hide the private information of a customer, it went overboard and aggressively hid a lot of information which was part of the app itself and not the customer's data. This led us to not have an accurate depiction of the app state for the customer.

Freemium level features offer great visitor insights

Comentarios: My primary use of HotJar is the click tracking and scroll depth features. I'll occasionally use the visitor recording feature. These reports alone provide invaluable information for my web clients to get an idea of how effective their sites are in generating conversions. The surprise benefits of the click tracking is that we can see where people are clicking on spots that are not actually intended to be and I can adjust the UI design to downplay those areas to create a better user experience. The scroll depth gives me a better handle on what important information is not being reached by visitors and helps me decide how to best move that information further up the page stack to ensure that visitors see what we need them to see.

Easy to deploy tracking script to sites Async loading doesn't impact user experience Reports are easy to read and can be shared with clients Free tier provides more-than-adequate reporting for most small businesses

Contras:

I can't actually say anything bad about the pricing structure, the admin panel, or the product quality they deliver. If you're a small business looking to get insights about your visitors' habits, this is an awesome free tool.

Comentarios: Great for the most part. I've recommended it to many people. Easy to use, offers great info. It does make it hard to filter your own traffic from the data - my only qualm.

Great analytics tool. It records the sessions of people who visit your site - great information if you're looking to improve e-commerce conversions or design behavior.

Contras:

I don't have much to suggest. It was easy to install the script onto my site. I do wish they'd make it easy to filter out my own device though - you have to manually filter out your own devices, which clouds the data.

Hotjar a good heatmap

Comentarios: I have made some heatmaps for my website show-my-homework. I used these heatmaps to improve the website for the readers.

Years ago I had a website (show-my-homework) that was taken from me with force. I am Romanian and in Romania no matter what you work, the authorities will force you to surrender your wealth and work to those that use the muscles and not the brain. I worked to this website for 5 years and 2 years I had on this website hotjar. Hotjar was saying to me who comes to my website, who reads my website, who wanted to learn, who clicks etc. Hotjar is very good and I love Hotjar for this.

Contras:

To make a heatmap with hotjar you have to wait for 1 day. This is not good, but after 1 day you will have a very good heat map. I do not love hotjar because you have to pay good money if you use it for 2 weeks :)

Great UX Tool

Comentarios: We use HotJar to run UX tests on our site. We've used it a lot for testing out new buttons or new navigation features.

Puntos a favor:

We love running heatmap tests of pages whenever we make changes to our website. We compare these tests to former versions that we've ran. Heatmaps offer amazing insight to where the user clicks, scrolls, or mouses over. This gives you a good idea on how the user interacts with your site.

Contras:

Limited functionality unless you upgrade to the top tier account. We also aren't able to track our interactive experiences. I also wish the recordings had more filterable options so you could find specific experiences.

The eyes you should have on your website

Comentarios: As a web designer this tool allowed me to track activity of the first users and detect things like: resposive problems, image problems, where the users are lost, where the users dont click and why, where the use leaves my website and why and what the user experience was overall.
My experience with this tool has been almost fantastic, I would recomend it to every webmaster.

Hotjar is a very useful app, integrated with websites will allow you to track the heatmaps and every action the user made, divided by device and showing every data you can need and even more. It also has the hability to record every action of the user or track a funnel performance, I recommend this tool specially to optimize websites, because it will allow you to know where exactly the user is lost.

Contras:

What I dont like if this software is that I would like to advice users that they are going to be recorded somehow but it doesnt have that option. I would also make a simpler design for admin the websites, right now it can be a little messy for new users.

Wow, What a Product!

Comentarios: Within an hour of integrating it into our site and CRM (which took only minutes), we were getting recordings of user visits and heat maps, greatly increasing our ability to quickly improve the performance of our website and marketing campaigns.

What DON'T I like about this software is more like it. I'm blown away that there's not more reviews for HotJar and am very happy to have spotted this opportunity to give them some love. HotJar is easily the best value-to-price behavior mapping software of its kind, and I've used and shopped for several of them. That pretty much sums it up. From heat mapping to visitor recordings to polling functionality, I simply haven't had to look for another solution since I found it, and it is much more cost-effective than its competitors. Its integrations that we have implemented have worked splendidly, as well. 5 stars, hands down.

I'm only listing "cons" because I have to to submit this review. Some of its user interface wasn't completely intuitive to me at first but I overcame it quickly and don't think it's fair to expect every software program to not come with a little bit of a learning curve. Within a couple of days I was navigating it fluidly.
