Based on all of the things each software pricing level offers, Gymdesk sets itself MUCH higher over other software programs available. I would recommend to anyone.
A bit difficult to navigate belt ranks when different classes can count towards time in grade.

Comentarios: Excellent. I would highly recommend any gym owner give gymdesk a shot. Even if it wasn't for you (and I'd be surprised if it wasn't), you lose nothing by trying.

Very easy to use Lots of built in features No upsell No sales team/sales pitches Excellent customer service. You email, they get back to you quickly. Simple as that. Tons of online content: youtube videos, articles, podcasts, etc.
Contras:
It does not pair super well with Square. There are some limitations to how you can use the physical POS with it. I hear stripe is the better option in this case.
TERRIBLE customer service and support--simply terrible.
Comentarios: Terrible. I am cancelling and going with the company's competitor. At least they provide a customer service phone number.

Gymdesk's customer service and support is TERRIBLE. For one, they do not provide a phone number at ALL. After several emails asking for a callback, someone responded back that they do NOT do CALLBACKS but that they would SCHEDULE a customer service call. Really? Okay, yes, let's do that. What a pain. Especially because I am calling about the 3 THREE charges a month that my $75 a month service is supposed to cost.

Hi Mark, While we do not provide live phone support due to our customers being in many timezones, we do provide extremely effective and quick one on one support via live chat, email, or a scheduled video call on demand. We responded promptly to your inquiry and addressed your concerns in under 1 hours time. Ultimately, it was a user error on your end that we helped you discover and resolve. Small to medium gyms highly recommend.
Comentarios: Very good, streamlined everything so far. Daunting task of a new gym, kids members, uniforms and sales all simplified with gym desk.

Simple, easy to use platform. No crashes, lagging or interruptions between client and gym. Underestimated this software, worth the price.
Contras:
We are using our own website portal which means another cost for us but have not had enough experience with the provided website to use yet.

Easy to use, logical UI, helpful staff. It's very enjoyable, and leagues ahead of the others I tried.
Contras:
Checking in history isn't saved.. I guess if you use the front desk app it might, but that's a whole load of overhead for us. Also seem to have 2 waivers being signed sometimes somehow, dunno how or why there are two 😄

If you see duplicate waivers, that’s usually because the document is assigned to both memberships and the sign-up form. You’ll want to remove the waivers from your memberships to prevent this. To remove the documents from memberships, click on the “Members” tab -> click “Memberships” -> click the pencil to edit the membership -> under the “Documents” section, uncheck the document. Do this for each membership. As far as the check-in history, we'd be happy to troubleshoot that for you, as it should be logged. Managing capacities per class is crucial. I want to places can do auto billing but to be able to reserve the amount of spots per class and be able to see how many are taken incentivize users to book their class is ahead of time. One thing I would like to see them implement is allowing me too cut off the window. 15 minutes out. They allow intervals of hours or days, I would like to see them add minutes so that I can close the window. 15 minutes before class starts so that people can’t register or cancel in that timeframe.
Contras:
Would like to be able to cancel sign in/cancellation 15 minutes out

Great Software For Martial Arts Schools
Comentarios: Nothing but a positive experience with Martial Arts on Rails, highly recommend it

There are so many great things about this software, the depth of features is fantastic and covers pretty much everything a martial arts school would need! The technical assistance is another massive plus point, you always get a prompt polite response to your queries and everything is resolved super quick. Another plus point of this software is that is is super easy to use and navigate through, a lot of thought has gone into the layout and ensuring the most important features are right there at your fingertips. Another positive about this software is the developers are always updating it with new features, which is fantasict, they really are determined to provide the best possible software out there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this software to any other Martial Arts Clubs based on my experience using it!
Contras:
One of the biggest cons with this software, if there are any, is the lack of an app. I feel this would be the icing on the cake.

The beautiful UI and overall feel of the software got us hooked! This software is on par if not better than most big named software out there that we have tried at a fraction of the price! Although there are a ton of amazing features, nothing comes close to how the customer service makes you feel when you join. Customer service is hands down the best thing about this software. If we have an issue they personally emails us back almost instantly to get it resolved! They are there anytime of day to assist and make sure the software is running at its full potential. The best of all is that they listens to feedback and actually implements them! WHAT? I've asked my recent software many times for what I thought were simple requests, and have always gotten a "we will see what we can do" response. The software is constantly being updated and cared for! Martial Arts on Rails has been one of the greatest decisions we have ever made for our school/business. Excellent software to manage a martial arts school
Comentarios: I don't have to manually keep tabs on when students need to pay. It's much easier to have the system remind them rather than me. I like that fact that I can run the website, billing, attendance, and marketing all in one system!
Puntos a favor:
The system is very straightforward and not difficult to learn. The support is fantastic. Any questions I had were addressed in a very timely manner. The price is right for a small martial arts school to be able to save time managing the business side of running a school.
Contras:
Overall, the software is great but some a couple more customizations would be nice. Being able to customize the dashboard to display what is most important to the administrator. More customization on the website. Example, being able to change the link "Book" on the schedule to something else like "Free Trial Class". I use the booking function for leads rather than students. The check in screen can also be a little easier. Possibly have student names listed that are able to check in to next session available so they can just click on it.
Best Martial Arts Specific Software We've Used, Exceptional Customer Service
Comentarios: The customer service with MAonRails has been fantastic. Eran goes out of his way to help and answers quickly. They were also willing to work with us on price which for a small school is greatly appreciated.

The interface is clean, easy to navigate for students and administrator. Easy to customize and get up and running quickly. Like the family account feature, belt ranks are easy to create, add, and modify. Customer Service is fantastic, quick answers and always willing to help.
Contras:
That each document cannot have a customizable email saved. A bit difficult to navigate belt ranks when different classes can count towards time in grade. Also, the gym schedule is not great. Would like to see a month at a time.
Martial Arts on Rails Review
Comentarios: We were looking for a product to manage a small wrestling club and strength training business. We do not have a full-time manager and most of the products were overly complicated. Martial Arts on Rails has turned out to be the perfect solution.
Puntos a favor:
The software is extremely easy to set-up and use, yet it has sufficient flexibility to manage our club in the way we want to operate. Interface is excellent and intuitive. The ability to create a website and easily integrate with a payment gateway was also excellent. Finally, customer support is to notch.
Contras:
At first I was concerned that it did not have a corresponding App but the website works great on a cell phone and this has not been an issue. The product team continues to add features and improve functionality. No concerns.

Simple to set-up and use, provides commonly needed features, making it easy to communicate with students, handle memberships, take payments, waivers/contracts, track prospective students, as well as provides small details that software we used in the past have overlooked (ability to close your gym operations for a period of time, so you don't have to manually freeze each member)
Contras:
the freezing of memberships is counterintuitive, and requires some workarounds
Dojo, Done Easy!
Comentarios: Its been an absolute breeze to run my Dojo from start to finish. My experience has been wonderfull and I would definitely recommend Gymdesk to any Dojo or Fitness business.
Puntos a favor:
Gymdesk allows me to automatically send my invoices and generate new ones without me needing to amend or change anything. I save so much time through Gymdesk and I love that i can do everything from a mobile device.
Contras:
Honestly, I am yet so see anything that I dont like.
A Must have for Gym Owners
Comentarios: Gymdesk is a lifesaver. I am able to organize all of my work flow in one system. I love the membership renewal, the personalized website, the group text message marketing, the online store for selling our products, and so much more!! It’s definitely a must have for all gym owners. There are so any features to use. I love Gymdesk and will never change. They are truly the best!!

Comentarios: The support is really, really responsive. I am impressed with that. Almost always within an hour or two, or quickly next day. The best.

It 'sings' to me. So much software is not 'ready out of the box.' There was such a learning curve. Many charge, demo required etc. As a busy gym and yoga studio owner with some capacity to learn on my own, I was up and in this in less than 5 minutes...and understand most of it. From there, it has served me well on customer management, communications, booking and payments.
Contras:
I could use some more specific things pertinent to how I run my businesses, but perhaps others don't. So I could use some customization on a few things. I also get confused from time to time on the forms/sign up/membership connections...I think that could be better explained. Again though, it may be how I run my business not necessarily what makes sense for most consumers.
Great martial arts management software

Great membership management, auto billing which is important, attendance tracking, sales & marketing Are great. The only email and text function is a game changer too! You have to pay a little extra but it’s a huge life saver to send messages out quickly to all members or to certain members.
Contras:
I’d like to see this software give the member the ability to track their progress according to the program, ranks and promotion requirements. For example, when I set certain skills for a particular rank, the student cannot see what those skills are on their one member portal. They can see what rank they are, but not the skills associated with the rank.

Having used a couple products prior, this one works best for our schools, because of the size, the affordability and features. We use to have to carry hard copies of paperwork/release now we can pull it at any location, even at tournaments sites if needed.
Contras:
The inability to just read or replay to messages seems to be a bit problematic as I get email notifiations, but, if I don't read the email or on the message screen, those messages may go unanswered for some time.
Excellent Gym Management Portal
Comentarios: My overall experience has been positive. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is very responsive to email questions. The software system meets my needs and is cost effective. I still have more to learn about it’s functionality but things are going well.
