Netsuite is fairly intuitive for being such a complex system. I also really love the Sandbox capability.
We also had some questionable customer service with our initial rep at one point (in regards to scheduling/cancelling appointments on us).

Has bugs for such a powerful, expensive program
Puntos a favor:

Puntos a favor:

Puntos a favor:

Netsuite has a lot of potential when automating processes. It is a great ERP for big Companies or big startups.
Contras:
There is not much literature about netsuite or learning material. Because of this, you are trapped with Consultants. Sometimes you might get lucky but sometimes no. I had both experienceThe ERP is complex to implement. It has become popular in the startup world but it´s complexity does not make it ideal for everyone. Corporate Controller
Comentarios: I love working with NS, I think it's very user friendly, reporting is super flex and the ability to see consolidated reports at all times is incredible. The only things I think require improvement are the fixed assets repots and the billing schedules.
Puntos a favor:
1. The option to see the reports on a consolidated level 2. Reporting and the option to customize report is amazing 3. Search line 4. The ability to edit transitions 5. Advanced IC JEs
Contras:
1. Billing schedules are very challenging- for example quarterly billing for 2 years and for 1 year requires 2 different billing schedules, the system can only divide the quantity for non annual billing schedules etc. 2. No as of date vanilla report to track Inventory in transit and accrued expense related to inventory received where an invoice was not received. 3. Fixed assets module reporting- for example if an asset was sold the accumulated depreciation would show on the same column as the depreciation for the period.
The most difficult project of my Professional life
Comentarios: It has been more difficult than I ever could have imagined. You fix one thing and it breaks another. In the end we wonder if the consolidation of systems was worth it. Right now my answer is it was not. There is so much I would change if I was in charge at NetSuite. There really is potential for it to be good, but they would rather charge you a ton of money for some feature that is difficult to understand, and ignore your problems. The difference between the basic tier and the premium tier is 200,000 transaction lines to 2 million. So the value of 200,001 lines is the same as 2 million. That's ridiculous. They should have more tiers.
Puntos a favor:
We like that we are using only one system for our accounting, fixed assets, sales, purchasing, inventory management, reporting. There are some things that are easier than they were before for us.
Contras:
This will be a long list. It's very frustrating to switch to an expensive system that cannot do what we thought it would be able to do, and has unexpected challenges that we just have to live with. - Parts bin verification button, box down arrow check-mark icon thingy. It's too small to see, and too many clicks. - Not able to batch print more than 100 invoices at a time. NetSuite does not care about this but its a huge deal when we have over 2000 invoices to download at once. We can easily miss 100. - Invoices disconnect from sales orders if they are changed, leaving the sales order open again. Which leads to double billing because we are checking our open orders, trying to close them all. - Internal invoices create a receivable. It would be so much easier if they just didn't at all. - Credit memos are an afterthought. It's like we're the first company you've dealt with that does them. - No negative quantities are allowed on sales orders so adding inventory back into stock requires a credit memo. - The entire parts ordering process is so difficult for our parts people. You can't easily see how many you've sold in the past, you can't see how many your location already has on order, without flipping through screens. It's a cumbersome, slow , confusing process. The amount on order shows the amount for the entire company so it's totally useless. Then on the item receipt, we can't see the total dollar value per line so the guys are constantly receiving parts at the wrong dollar value, making AP's job really difficult. And since our developers cant fix it, and were on the basic service level tier, were basically told too bad, by an automated email from Oracle. It's so frustrating. - We can't add more invoice info to customer statements. Info like unit numbers. The statement function in the system is essentially useless to us. - Grey font on a white background in a small size that you cannot change. It's like Oracle said "let's make this as hard as possible for people with bad eyesight". - Some lists that have lots of items we can select ALL, but others, you can only select one range at a time either 1 to 25 or 1 to 100. No rhyme or reason to it. - The entire Item Receipt and Item Fulfillment process makes everything slow, and creates 3x more transaction lines. They are redundant. If we had known that every transaction line would appear on three different transactions every time, we would have known we were on the premium tier which would have cost more money and we wouldn't have chosen NetSuite. The basic level includes 200,000 transaction lines. So now we are over that number. This was dishonest from the sales process from the start. Now we are forced to pay an exorbitant amount to move up to the next tier. They held our system hostage for ransom. - They don't give your developers free accounts! For us that meant we didn't have enough accounts for all our employees. There's lots more but I think you get the point.

Netsuite Review from IGPES ERP Admin
Comentarios: My overall experience with NetSuite so far has been quite interesting as I feel the need to know more about the application. There are functions on the platform that make a lot of the operational workload easier especially when it comes to reports. The application is dynamic and overall great to use for business operations.
Puntos a favor:
1. NetSuite offers a wide range of modules covering financial management, CRM, e-commerce, inventory, and supply chain management. 2. Suitable for businesses of all sizes, from small startups to large enterprises. 3. It is cloud-based. 4. It is customizable and Flexible 5. Provides real-time visibility into business performance with robust reporting and analytics tools. 6. Supports multi-currency, multi-language, and multi-subsidiary operations, making it ideal for global businesses. 7. Regular updates and new features are automatically deployed, ensuring the system stays current with the latest technology and best practices.
Contras:
1. It can be expensive, especially for small businesses or startups, due to subscription fees, customization costs, and user licenses. 2. Requires a learning curve and may necessitate ongoing training and support. 3. Implementation can be time-consuming and complex, requiring careful planning and resources. 4. Occasional slowdowns or downtime may impact business operations

NetSuite System OK, NetSuite SuiteSuccess Implementation AWFUL
Comentarios: Overall, the NetSuite Staff and project teams will make promises the can't deliver on. They will do anything to make the sale regardless of whether they are the right solution for your business. Then, when it came time for implementation, they make you sign these aggressive terms and conditions. When we had questions on them, it delayed our project team 4 MONTHS because their legal team could not explain their own terms. The software is also INCREDIBLY slow. The NetSuite team will try to upsell you once you discover this to increase your speed but they will not let you "test" the speed before agreeing to a 12 month contract. There also also a good amount of native limitations. Examples include, inability to get a vendor payment register showing the original amount, discount taken, and amount paid. Inability to take a discount exclusive of freight on vendor bills. Sales and Use tax limitations. The system can NOT handle use tax and you need to either script or purchase a plugin to get sales taxes to calculate correctly. Copy pasting data/ tabels to print on html pdf prints, etc.
Puntos a favor:
The reporting functionalities and general business flow of transaction processing is good
Contras:
Sales Team Made Promises they can't deliver! During our initial review of the ERP systems, we went over all of our business processes with the NetSuite Sales Team and even provided process flowcharts and showed them what our system does. They were confident NetSuite could do all of that and more for us. However, when we went to implement, they fell short on SO MANY accounts. Basic things, like copy/pasting information info estimate forms and having them print with images are NOT possible with native functionalities.AVOID SuiteSuccess for implementation!! They are a cookie cutter implementation team and will not assist outside the most basic scope no matter what the sales team tells you. They basically just turn it on for you. Any specific things you may need for your business are considered customizations and you will be charged more for them. They had some very inexperienced staff assigned to our account that did things like missed MAJOR configuartion settings (making depts and locations required and fulfillments across periods), named native GL accounts differently so you wouldn't know why things were auto posting to the wrong account, did not review all print forms or assist in set-up, did not explain the GL impacts of different item types or how projects worked. They also did not assist with go-live data import AT ALL. You would be so much better off using a consultant. AVOID SUITESUCCESS.Software also has various quirky limitations. Do your research on reddit.

NetSuite: Real-time updates and synchronization of financial data.
Comentarios: Time to automate various accounting processes which reduces manual data entry, minimizes errors and saves time allowing us to focus on more strategic financial activities.
Puntos a favor:
Ease of accessibility for this tool has enabled real-time collaboration and flexibility for our business with remote teams from multiple locations. It can accommodate the growth of transactions, users and data volume without requiring significant hardware upgrades through its highly scalable features. Have highly dedicated security teams and infrastructure to ensure data privacy and compliance with industry regulations.
Contras:
The system could use a design update and be more effective in its multi-user mode functionality. Keep up on the positive improvements.
Review on NS from an admin perspective
Comentarios: Overall experience from 4 + years using NS compared to other experience of ERP systems is positive
Puntos a favor:
Customable reporting, easy configurable custom fields and modifying forms for different records
Contras:
From an admin perspective, customizing WF is not user friendly and is limited. Which forces us in some cases to use suite scripts to overcome issues. Creating suite scripts requires development knowledge, i.e. Java script and knowledge of Suite Script configuration. Since this is not accessible to all organization inhouse, this requires using a certified 3rd part vendor which is both time consuming and costly.
Detailed Inventory System
Comentarios: Netsuite is able to give me all the inventory information needed to improve my business.
Puntos a favor:
Their is a vast array of features and functions. Details of information for inventory and purchasing.
Contras:
It was difficult integrating my inventory from previous systems into NetSuite.
Powerful CRM and ERP software
Comentarios: Overall, it has taken me some time to get up to speed with NetSuite, but it is a very powerful platform that can accomplish pretty much everything I need it to.
Puntos a favor:
Extremely powerful platform, with almost every feature you could need from a CRM/ERP platform.
Contras:
Steep learning curve, and the user interface is not the nicest or most intuitive.
NetSuite Review
Comentarios: NetSuite has served as well as a full-feature ERP system. We can manage many aspects of our business all in one system including managing projects, recording timesheets, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, internal case support, CRM, and more. I feel that NetSuite is much easier to learn and more intuitive than other systems, but it still requires time to set the system up for a company's individual needs. NetSuite is set up for wide-ranging customizations, but in many cases these customizations are necessary to get the full benefit of the program. Our time investments in NetSuite have paid off, but the program definitely requires a lot of love to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
Puntos a favor:
I really like the user-friendly appearance of NetSuite, especially compared to other older systems. I think the appearance makes NetSuite inviting and accessible. In general, the program is easy to learn, and NetSuite does multiple updates every year to add to the features.
Contras:
There are times where it feels like features are inexplicably absent from NetSuite. Users have the ability to submit enhancement requests, but it can take years before these are implemented. Additionally, tech support can be hit and miss on providing effective solutions to problems.

Good ERP for Medium-sized Businesses
Comentarios: Our company switched to NetSuite from using QuickBooks for years. NetSuite is a much more robust software, and what drew us to it was the reporting capability. So far, after 18 months using the product, it's been a challenge to extract the reporting we were sold on. It seems like a classic disconnect between the sales rep and the technical team and/or actual execution. Or, maybe our expectations were just too high.
Puntos a favor:
NetSuite keeps track of our accounting activity well. As NetSuite will tell you, they were built with Finance as their first priority. The software is a single source of truth for the majority of our business activity.
Contras:
There's a steep learning curve for getting the most out of the software, specifically around reporting. And there is literally no support from the NetSuite team unless you pay big quarterly fees for their Advanced Customer Support on top of the regular software costs. It seems like the NetSuite team would want you to be equipped to properly use the full functionality of the software, but they don't seem incentivized to proactively educate and/or support their clients. This is not to say competitors will do any better. In fact, I believe NetSuite offers the most value as an ERP to medium-sized businesses.

Comentarios: Overall, it has been very positive. I have used Netsuite in each of my last two roles, in very different environments and it has worked well for both.
Puntos a favor:
What I like most about Netsuite is that it can do just about anything and integrate with anyone. Because it can handle both financial and non-financial information it really can be your single source of truth.
Contras:

Superior long-term planning and control tool
Comentarios: With NetSuite, all of your information is in one place, making it easy to look for a new job. NetSuite will notify all employees of new business demands on a regular basis. Supplier-worker communication will be boosted by NetSuite, leading to fewer disruptions in the supply chain.
Puntos a favor:
With NetSuite, we are able to effectively manage both day-to-day operations and the planning of project resources. It's easy to pick up and use, flexible enough to work in any circumstance, and facilitates precise, real-time communication amongst team members.
Contras:
After some practice, using NetSuite is straightforward. Once you're familiar with how everything in NetSuite fits together, it's a breeze to use. However, it occasionally requires technical assistance, which might disrupt your operations, just like other Oracle systems. Truth be said, I quickly become weary of the current interface's barebones simplicity.

Great System that helps with professional and business growth.
Comentarios: Overall it is a great system and can be configured to our business needs. We do have a consultant who we work with weekly to help us with this things because it is not easy to create a lot of these customizations on our own. I would love the ability to create reports and saved searches without a consultants help.
Puntos a favor:
I like that Netsuite has so many fuctions to customzie to your business needs. I like that Netsutie integrates with many outside apps or tools for better interface. It provides room for various stages of growth for a company. I like that Netsuite also provies opportunities for professional growth and networking.
Contras:
Implemenation was not the best. We needed more expertise on the products that made sense to our business. We are finding that our billing module is not the right fit and will have to implement a new billing module which will cost of more time and delay our growth we could have had from the beginning. Some of the functionalities that should be basic are still needed to be customized such as reports for AR, unbilled and deferred revenue.

Everything you need for accounting.
Comentarios: Our accounting department was able to scale from QuickBooks to NetSuite but with a lot of training. Our development team has had to walk away many times just trying to get our applications to connect.
Puntos a favor:
NetSuite definitely has everything you need from an accounting system. You will need training and there is a steep learning curve, especially if you're upgrading from something like QuickBooks.
Contras:
As a developer I found integration challenging. There's a lot of permissions that you need to set for the user and if you're not an admin, you will find this tedious. I understand the need for various levels of security, but between tokens and keys and permissions, it's been a big headache. Once you are connected, you need to know the table relationships before you can begin writing code to exchange data.
